Where Sustainable Finance Meets Private Wealth

The Competence Center for Sustainable Finance and Private Wealth at the University of St.Gallen (CCSP-HSG) is dedicated to research and education at the unique intersection of sustainable finance and private wealth.

The mission of the Competence Center is to create and disseminate knowledge that helps wealth holders, managers, and advisors to deploy capital in ways that promote sustainable development.

The Competence Center also serves as the academic home of CSP, a vibrant global network of wealth holders, researchers, educators, and entrepreneurs driving positive impact, with teams in Europe, the US, and Asia.

Core activities of the Competence Center:

• Research: academic and applied research on the effectiveness, governance, and best practices in sustainable investing.
• Education: university teaching and executive education, with a focus on wealth holders and wealth management.
• Network Building: activities and events that bring together investors, entrepreneurs, researchers, and other stakeholders to foster collaboration and innovation.

Organization:

• The managing director is Dr. Falko Paetzold.
• The academic board consists of Prof. Markus Schmid and Prof. Julian Kölbel.
